Skill Utsav-2025 Promotes Vocational Education Among Assam’s Youth
Dhemaji: Down Town Charity Trust organized Skill Utsav-2025 at Dhemaji Higher Secondary School to promote skill-based education under the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).
The event, aimed at encouraging students to pursue vocational education, was attended by Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, MP Pradan Barua, school principals, inspectors of schools, trainers, and students.
Down Town Charity Trust is implementing vocational education in government schools with 593 trainers across nine sectors, including Healthcare, Tourism & Hospitality, IT-ITeS, Retail, Agriculture, Beauty & Wellness, Apparel, Electronics, and Automotive.
During the event, students received NSQF-aligned certificates from respective sector skill councils, while the top 10 trainers were felicitated for outstanding contributions. A Skill Exhibition showcased student projects and practical demonstrations, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship.
Officials from the Trust reaffirmed their commitment to bridging the gap between education and industry, emphasizing that skill-based learning is essential for building a sustainable and employable future workforce in Assam.
