Guwahati: Marwari Hospitals received a new Critical Care Ambulance donated by the State Bank of India (SBI), Guwahati Circle, on Wednesday. A team from SBI visited the hospital and officially launched the ambulance during a programme held in the hospital premises.
The SBI team included Safal Tripathi, General Manager (NW-1), SBI Guwahati Circle, and Md. Aftab Ahmad Mallick, Deputy General Manager, B&O (SBI AO Guwahati). They were joined on the dais by Marwari Hospitals President Sarat Jain, General Secretary Kishore Kumar Saboo, and Joint Secretaries Bela Nawka and Manish Khatuwala.
In his welcome address, President Sarat Jain thanked SBI for supporting the hospital’s critical care services.
He said, “This critical care ambulance will greatly help the hospital. We were in need of such an ambulance, and with this donation, we can now serve our patients faster and more effectively.”
A felicitation ceremony was held, and SBI formally handed over the ambulance documents to the hospital management.
Speaking at the event, Safal Tripathi expressed happiness over SBI’s contribution.
He said that SBI Guwahati Circle was proud to support Marwari Hospitals, which has been serving the public through charitable schemes and healthcare assistance for the poor.
He added, “We would like to support the hospital again in the future through other CSR initiatives. This hospital is one of the most respected in the region.”
General Secretary Kishore Saboo delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the presence of SBI officials and hospital staff.
The critical care ambulance was officially flagged off at 5:35 PM in front of the hospital’s Central Reception area.
Notably, SBI Guwahati Circle sanctioned approximately ₹36,50,000 for the ambulance under its CSR initiative.
