Guwahati: Sanjay Gaur, a 1989 batch officer of the BSF cadre, has taken charge as the Inspector General (IG) of the Border Security Force (BSF) Guwahati Frontier. With over three decades of experience, Gaur has served in various key positions along the India-Pakistan and Indo-Bangladesh borders, as well as in Jammu & Kashmir. He also contributed to the UN Mission in Kosovo.
Upon assuming his new role, Gaur emphasized the importance of effective border management to prevent crimes along the Indo-Bangladesh International Border. He also highlighted the need to maintain the cordial relationship between the border forces of India and Bangladesh, while ensuring the security of people living in border areas.
