Guwahati: On March 3, 2024, around 16:50 hours, a report was received regarding belongings left behind on Train No. 05020 Dn. Acting swiftly, Sub-Inspector Dinesh Kumar Sharma, along with officers and staff, responded to the situation by conducting a thorough check of the train upon its arrival at Azara Railway station.

During the inspection, the team successfully recovered the abandoned belongings and securely transported them to the RPF Post at Azara for safekeeping. Subsequently, after verifying the identity and address of the owner, identified as Sri Shibu Das, aged approximately 40 years, son of Madhav Das, from Hojai chipari road, PO- Hojai, Dist- Hojai, the belongings were handed over to him.

The retrieved items included 30 packages of cotton thread rolls valued at Rs. 10,000.
