Guwahati: The Guwahati chapter of the prestigious Miss ASEAtic India 2025 beauty contest was held at Tandav, Time Square, Sundarpur, drawing 72 participants from across the Northeast. The audition received a strong response from aspiring models eager to enter the national and global fashion stage.
Mr. Aashoke Gulabani, Founder of Miss ASEAtic, announced that 19 contestants were shortlisted. Among them, Ronak Kaur and Neha Rai were selected as the top two finalists who will now represent the Northeast at the Miss ASEAtic India 2025 Grand Finale.
The national winners will go on to represent India at Miss Global International 2025, an international platform for emerging fashion and beauty talents.
Ms. Raakkhi, Head of Operations for Miss ASEAtic, oversaw the audition with a calm and confident presence. Her leadership reflected the pageant’s mission to provide a safe, encouraging space where young women can grow in confidence, personality, and talent.
In a key development, Mr. Gulabani also announced the return of the Miss ASEAtic International Title Contest after two years. The pageant will now expand globally, with each country participating under a unified brand name — “Miss ASEAtic” followed by the country’s name. Winners from each nation will compete for the international crown.
The Guwahati audition was judged by a notable panel that included fashion designer Dipankar Kashyap, Medha Saikia, Meghna Rai Mehdi, Aashoke Gulabani, and former titleholders Moon Chetri and Riya Sarkar.
This event marks a growing opportunity for Northeast India’s youth to take part in national and international fashion platforms.
