Palashbari: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) organised a health check-up and awareness camp for workers engaged in the construction of the four-lane Brahmaputra bridge between Palashbari and Sualkuchi.
The camp was held at the Palashbari PC Yard office as part of L&T’s Safety Month programme. Around 300 workers underwent free medical check-ups conducted by a team of doctors from Swagat Hospital, Maligaon, led by senior doctor Dr Ayushman Khanna.
Health tests included eye check-up, blood pressure, blood sugar, heart-related tests and general health screening. Doctors also gave health tips and safety advice to the workers to help them stay fit and healthy while working at the construction site.
L&T officials, including EHS head Pankaj Rajput, PC Yard Deputy General Chandan Bharti and Sunirmal Giri, were present during the camp. The next health check-up and awareness camp will be organised on January 20 at the Sualkuchi PC Yard office.
