Sivasagar : Tragedy struck the district of Sivasagar in Assam as two individuals, Ajram Yein (45) and Diganta Mili (28), lost their lives in a lightning strike. The incident occurred on June 9 while they were working in a paddy field at Panbecha Senimora village. Additionally, five other individuals sustained injuries in the same incident.
Akhil Gogoi, the MLA of Sivasagar, visited the homes of the deceased to express his condolences. Gogoi also made arrangements for the treatment of the injured individuals.
“We have provided compensation to the families of the two victims and extended our support to them,” mentioned Gogoi.
The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of natural calamities and the importance of taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety of individuals working in open areas.
