The Regional Meteorological Centre in Guwahati stated that the conditions are favorable for the further advance of the Southwest monsoon into some parts of northeastern states within the next 48 hours. Moisture incursion is likely to happen due to strong low-level winds from the Bay of Bengal towards Northeast India over the next 5 days. As a result, there is a high probability of widespread rainfall, heavy thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in the northeast region over the next five days.
