Guwahati: Guwahati police arrested a seven-member gang of robbers involved in multiple thefts across the city. The operation, executed on Saturday night.
Police said that the gang had been linked to numerous robberies in different areas of Guwahati.
The coordinated operation was led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jyotishman Neog of Latasil Police Station.
The arrested individuals include Sadek Ali, Akbar Ali, Lokman Ali, Abu Bakkar Siddique, Saidur Rahman and Joynal Abdin all residents of Darrang district, along with Joynal Abdin from Barpeta district.
This arrest is expected to bring relief to the citizens of Guwahati and deter further criminal activities in the region.
