Guwahati Administration Conducts Late-Night Drive to Shift Homeless Individuals to Shelter Homes

Guwahati: The Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration conducted a late-night rehabilitation drive in Guwahati on Tuesday. As per the direction of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, homeless individuals living under flyovers and on footpaths were relocated to shelter homes.

The Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metropolitan District, Pallav Gopal Jha, accompanied by senior officials from the departments of Social Welfare and Childline, visited different locations in Panbazar and Ulubari to provide counseling to the destitute individuals.

Subsequently, they were shifted to the designated shelter homes for their well-being and safety.
