Guwahati: Gauhati University held an orientation programme on 4 August 2025 to welcome the third batch of its Five-Year Integrated Masters’ Programme.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta addressed the students and spoke about the qualities of an ideal student. He said that students should have perseverance, focus, alertness, moderation, and detachment to succeed and serve society.
The event was attended by students, parents, and faculty members. Guest speakers included Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Commissioner of Police, and Devasish Sharma, IAS, DC of Nagaon. They encouraged students to gain knowledge and be responsible citizens.
The induction programme will continue till 13 August 2025, helping students learn more about the University’s vision and values.
