The Senior World Men and Women Weightlifting Championship is set to take place from December 4 to 17, 2024, in Manama, Bahrain.
Ditimoni Sonowal from Dhemaji, Assam, has been selected to represent India in the 64kg weight category. Her inclusion in the national team is a proud moment for Assam. Joining her is Alakesh Baruah, also from Assam, who has been named as the coach for Team India.
