Guwahati: A team from the Dispur Police Station Traffic Branch has swiftly solved a hit-and-run case reported on October 21, 2025, in which Anurag Kashyap (19) lost his life after being hit on the Jayanagar–Sixmile Road.
Through technical analysis and investigation, police identified the offending vehicle as a grey Hyundai i20 (AS01EV6808) and traced its owner, Paramananda Goswami of Borbari. Further inquiry revealed that his son, Arindam Goswami (25), was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Police have seized the vehicle and detained the driver. Legal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the case.
