The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) held a coordination meet with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on October 10, 2025, to strengthen collaboration on ongoing and future infrastructure projects in the North Eastern region.

The meeting, chaired by Jitendra Prasad, VSM, Additional Director General Border Roads (East), highlighted IOCL’s crucial role in supplying 70–80% of BRO’s fuel and bitumen needs, essential for road construction in remote areas.

Discussions focused on improving logistics, especially during monsoon disruptions, and deploying smaller tankers for difficult terrains.

The meet concluded with both organisations reaffirming their commitment to ensure timely project execution and enhanced regional connectivity.
