Guwahati : Tragedy struck during a practice session for the Independence Day parade in Khanapara, Guwahati, on August 11th, as Constable Kukil Dutta of Assam Police lost his life. The late constable was stationed in Tezpur under the Assam Police Radio Organisation (APRO) and hailed from Lakhimpur.

Reports indicate that Kukil Dutta fell ill while participating in the rehearsal for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations at the Khanapara parade ground. Despite being swiftly taken to the hospital, he was sadly declared deceased by the medical authorities.
In the wake of this unfortunate incident, DIG NR and SP North Lakhimpur visited the mourning family to offer heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Assam Police.
