Guwahati: The Assam Olympic Association (AOA) honored four sports journalists from Assam for their coverage of the Olympic Games. The felicitation event recognized the contributions of journalist Subodh Malla Baruah, photojournalists Rituraj Konwar and Gitika Talukdar along with Kul Pradeep Bhagwati, who covered the 2012 London Olympics, and Pabitra Gogoi, who reported on the 2016 Rio Olympics. Pabitra Gogoi was unable to attend the event due to illness.

The event was attended by several notable members of the Assam Olympic Association, including Lakshya Konwar, Secretary of Assam Olympic Association, Anup Chowdhury, Bhabajyoti Goswami, Rajiv Prakash Baruah, Alok Tripathi, Ranjit Boro, Murlidhar Chowdhury, Arup Thakuria, Debjit Gogoi, and Imtiaz Ahmed, along with swimmer Elvis Hazarika.
