Guwahati: The Assam government will distribute appointment letters for various government jobs before February 10, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister said the government will issue appointment letters for ADRE, Health Department, Education Department and several other departments within the announced timeline. He added that all candidates who have cleared the recruitment process will receive their appointment letters.

According to the Chief Minister, the Health Department will distribute appointment letters on December 22. The government will hand over appointment letters under the 3 percent reservation for tea garden communities on December 23.

Speaking about ADRE recruitment, Himanta Biswa Sarma said the process involves Grade III and Grade IV posts across 38 departments and more than 60 directorates. After departmental allocation, district officials will post candidates in blocks and offices across the state.

He said the government will complete all procedures by the end of December. Qualified Grade IV candidates will receive appointment letters before January 10, while Grade III candidates will receive their letters around January 15.

The Chief Minister said the Assam government has completed recruitment in a transparent manner. He added that no court cases have been filed related to government job appointments in the last five years.

He also said the state government has provided around 1.5 lakh government jobs in one term, a milestone for Assam.

Meanwhile, under the Atmanirbhar Assam Abhiyan, the government will provide financial support to 75,000 youths for self-employment. After January 15, district-level programmes will distribute the funds to beneficiaries. The Chief Minister said he will attend several of these events.
