Guwahati: Apna Ghar Guwahati celebrated the 77th Republic Day on Monday with great enthusiasm, along with cancer patients and their caregivers, creating a moment of unity, hope and patriotism.
The programme began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem, which filled the atmosphere with pride and emotion. Patients and caregivers actively took part in the celebrations by singing patriotic songs and sharing their memories of past Independence and Republic Day celebrations.
Various small activities were organised during the event, symbolising the sweetness of freedom and togetherness. The celebration highlighted the courage, resilience and positive spirit of those battling cancer, reminding everyone that the values of freedom, unity and dignity remain strong even in difficult times.
Apna Ghar Guwahati continues to support cancer patients by providing nutritious food, comfortable accommodation and transportation facilities. Along with physical care, the organisation also offers mental health support to help patients and caregivers cope with the emotional challenges of their journey.
