Akhil Gogoi Says Opposition Not Ready to Fight BJP

New Delhi: Raijor Dal president and Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi said that the opposition parties in Assam are not ready to fight the BJP. He made this remark a day after the opposition’s poor performance in the Bihar elections.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Gogoi said the opposition is still sitting idle and not preparing properly. He said the parties need to built strategy, create a strong narrative, or done the work needed for the upcoming elections.

Gogoi warned that if the opposition remains like this, they will face defeat. He said all parties must sit together for 2026 election and start serious work. He also said he has already sent letters to other opposition parties for a joint meeting.

Gogoi said the parties must decide within seven days who will contest from which constituency. He also said that candidates must work on the ground, build their teams, set up proper systems, and create coordination among all opposition parties.

Recently, an opposition strategy meeting grabbed attention on social media when discussions shifted to Lurinjyoti Gogoi’s wedding instead of election plans.

After the Bihar election results, Akhil Gogoi met AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi for an important political discussion. His latest comments are being seen as significant in this context.
