Garima Saikia Garg, wife of late singer Zubeen Garg, is likely to be shifted to Mumbai for advanced medical treatment within one or two days. Dr Hitesh Baruah said doctors are also focusing on her nutrition, mental well-being and sleep problems.

Guwahati: Garima Saikia Garg, wife of late singer Zubeen Garg, is likely to be shifted to Mumbai for advanced medical treatment within the next one or two days, according to her treating doctors.

Dr Hitesh Baruah said the decision was taken after discussions among the medical team and concerned specialists. He added that arrangements were being made to send her to Mumbai at the earliest.

Garima suddenly fell ill on Saturday, triggering concerns about her health. Amid growing discussions over her condition, Dr Baruah shared details about her ongoing treatment and health status.

According to the doctor, special attention is being given to Garima’s diet and nutritional intake. Although she has been following medical advice regarding food, she sometimes shows reluctance to eat.

The medical team has been counselling her and explaining the importance of consuming nutritious food for her recovery.

Dr Baruah said Garima has been eating comparatively well during her hospital stay. The doctors are also making efforts to ensure that she maintains a regular and healthy diet in the coming days.

Dr Hitesh Baruah also expressed concern over Garima’s mental health, saying she has been going through considerable emotional distress while dealing with various questions and situations.

According to Dr Baruah, Garima needs mental peace, emotional support and adequate rest. She is also experiencing sleep-related problems, reportedly sleeping for only two to three hours at night before suddenly waking up.

The doctor said the emotional pain following Zubeen Garg’s death, along with the various thoughts and discussions surrounding the incident, has affected her mental well-being.

The medical team is therefore focusing on counselling, proper rest and regular food intake to prevent further deterioration of her health.

Dr Hitesh Baruah has also appealed to people to extend their support and cooperation for Garima’s recovery.

He urged everyone who loves and respects Garima to continue showing her affection and respect during this difficult period.

The doctor said people who love Zubeen Garg and Garima should stand together in expressing their support and working towards her recovery.
