Guwahati: Telecom company Bharti Airtel observed Customer Day 2026 with a special initiative aimed at understanding the problems faced by customers and improving services.

On this day, nearly 20,000 Airtel employees, including senior leaders and team members from different departments, stepped out of their offices and went into the field. They worked with frontline teams, met customers directly, visited homes and shops, and interacted with people at retail stores and service centres. The aim was to understand customers’ issues and experiences more closely.

Through this initiative, employees also accompanied field engineers and spoke with customers to get a clear and honest view of the challenges they face while using Airtel services.

Speaking on the occasion, Shashwat Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of Airtel India, said Customer Day reminds the company of its responsibility to listen carefully to customers and improve services. He said the initiative helps Airtel focus on solving problems quickly and making services easier and better for users.

Airtel said many of its customer-focused innovations have come from listening to customer feedback. These include stronger protection against spam and fraud, easier digital services through the Airtel app, and the use of AI-based tools to improve customer experience.

The company added that improving customer experience is a continuous process. By regularly listening to feedback, Airtel aims to simplify services and provide reliable and better experiences for millions of customers across the country.
