Guwahati: Joining the global observance of World Organ Donation Day, Marwari Hospitals, in association with Zublee Foundation, organised a special programme on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at its hospital premises. This year’s theme, “Answering the Call”, highlights the commitment of professionals, donors, and families in saving lives through organ donation.
The event, held from 3 pm to 5 pm in the hospital’s conference hall, featured speeches, felicitation ceremonies, and interactive sessions between members of both organisations.
General Secretary of Marwari Hospitals, Kishore Kumar Saboo, delivered the welcome address, followed by the felicitation of the guest speaker by Dr. Jayanta Prasad Sarma, Director of Medical Services. President of Marwari Hospitals, Sarat Kumar Jain, and Dr. Sarma addressed the gathering, with Dr. Sarma emphasising the significance of organ donation and praising Zublee Foundation’s contributions.
Guest Speaker and CEO of Zublee Foundation, Ms. Priyanka Bora, shared insights into the foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote organ donation and assist patients in urgent need of transplants.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Hospital Superintendent Mr. Rohit Upadhayay, who lauded Zublee Foundation’s noble work and wished them continued success.
World Organ Donation Day is observed annually on August 13 to raise awareness of organ donation’s life-saving potential and to honour the selflessness of donors and their families.
