Guwahati to Host Warm-Up Matches for ICC World Cup

Guwahati: The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the schedule for the men’s World Cup. Although Guwahati did not get chosen for the main matches, it will host the warm-up matches.

The World Cup starts on October 5, 2023. The first match will be in Ahmedabad between England and New Zealand.

India, as the host, begins their campaign on October 8 against Australia in Chennai. The final match will be in Ahmedabad on November 19.

The first semi-final is on November 15 in Mumbai, and the second semi-final is on November 16 in Kolkata.

There are 10 venues: Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata.

Guwahati, along with Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram, will host the warm-up matches from September 29 to October 3.

Guwahati residents are excited to watch the warm-up matches in their city and be a part of the cricketing action.
