Free Health Camp for Cab Drivers Held in Panjabari on Bhupen Hazarika’s Birth Anniversary

Guwahati: To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sudhakantha Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, a free health camp was organised at the Assam State Drivers’ Association office in Panjabari by the health and education channel Aroksha.

Nearly 100 cab drivers participated in the camp, where essential health check-ups including blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol tests were conducted. Senior physician Dr. Saurav Deka led the medical consultations, while dietician Bandita Kalita provided nutrition and lifestyle guidance. Participants also received free medicines.

Speaking at the event, Aroksha founder Nitish Sarmah said the initiative was aimed at promoting preventive healthcare among the working community. “Our goal is to create awareness and encourage people to take preventive measures before falling ill,” he added.

The health camp received strong support from Mahamantra Clinic and Diagnostic Research Centre, Marwari Hospitals, Sun Pharma, and several other organisations.

With such initiatives, Aroksha has reiterated its commitment to spreading awareness on health and wellness through community-oriented programmes.
