Guwahati: Deepjyoti India Foundation, under its flagship project Sampoorna, organized a one-day health awareness camp for women in Panikhaiti in collaboration with the State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM). Around 60 women from nearby rural areas took part in the event aimed at spreading knowledge on key health issues.
A special session was conducted by Dr. Priyanka Roy, gynecologist from Downtown Hospital, who spoke on important topics like menstrual health, cervical cancer, nutrition, and anemia prevention. Her friendly approach encouraged the women to ask questions and discuss their personal health concerns freely.
Amrita Borkotoky, Program Director of the Foundation, led a session on diarrhea prevention. She focused on the importance of hygiene and safe drinking water to avoid common waterborne diseases.
The event was held under the guidance of Deepjyoti Garg, Founder of Deepjyoti India Foundation. He highlighted the organization’s commitment to improving women’s health through continued awareness and support programs.
The camp received a positive response from the participants, who appreciated the helpful medical advice and easy-to-understand information provided during the sessions.
