Guwahati: Deepjyoti India Foundation, in collaboration with the District Health Services under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), organized a comprehensive health camp at Bonda, Guwahati, aimed at promoting community health and creating awareness among women and the elderly.
A dedicated team of doctors and nurses from Down Town Hospital joined hands with the Foundation to conduct free medical screenings, focusing on pregnant and lactating women as well as senior citizens. Participants received health check-ups, counseling, and guidance on preventive healthcare practices.
Renowned oncologist Dr. Amal Kataki attended the event as a guest speaker and delivered an insightful address on women’s health and wellness, highlighting the importance of regular health check-ups and early detection for long-term wellbeing.
The event was held under the leadership of Deepjyoti Garg, Founder of Deepjyoti India Foundation, and Amrita Borkotoky, Program Director, whose efforts continue to inspire meaningful community health initiatives across Assam.
