Assam Announces Squad for Ranji Match Against Chhattisgarh

Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association has announced the lineup for the Senior Men’s Ranji Trophy squad as they gear up for their fifth match of the season against Chhattisgarh. The clash is scheduled to take place in Raipur from November 13, 2024.

Leading the Assam team will be Denish Das as captain, supported by Mukhtar Hussain in the role of vice-captain. The team comprises a balanced mix of experienced players and emerging talent, with Sumit Ghadigaonkar and Ruhinandan Pegu serving as the wicketkeepers. Key players like Bhargav Dutta, Mrinmoy Dutta, and Sarupam Purkayastha are expected to play crucial roles, along with other team members including Rahul Singh, Darshan Rajbangshi, Parvej Musaraf, Rishav Das, Rohit Singh, Sib Shankar Roy, Subham Mandal, and Jitu Ali.

The support staff for Assam’s Ranji campaign includes Head Coach Vivek Jaisimha, with Dhiraj Goswami as Coach, Rahul Pandey as Trainer, Bheeshm Pratap Singh as Physio, Rajesh Sharma as Video Analyst, Hari Krishan as Masseur, and Kartik Talukdar and Subhankar Dey managing throwdowns. Jitu Bordoloi will take on the role of team manager.
